Being alone or having no friends can be one of the worst things that can happen to a person. In this age of individualism, many are beginning to realize the importance of having friends who will support, encourage and comfort. I have good news for you! There is a community where people are cared for, supported and encouraged. This is the church of Jesus Christ.

The Bible clearly teaches that we are a body whose head is Jesus Christ. As a church we are completely dependent upon the grace of Jesus Christ. Through His grace, Christ sometimes chooses to work through our brothers and sisters to help us grow spiritually. The Bible tells us that we can mature in our faith through interaction with the members of our spiritual community. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17).

The Worldwide Church of God Los Angeles congregation members attest to the fact that they receive strength, encouragement and comfort from fellow members in the congregation. The Bible does talk about the value of having a community. "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). In our church, everyone is able to relate to each other on a personal level, supporting, encouraging and holding each other accountable. It is also a place where ministry happens. We have prayer meetings, Seniors’ socials, women’s fellowship group, and bible studies. In addition, we support a few missions and outreach projects.
